Will we ever see powders again?

That's why I use surplus powders for most of my loading 223 and 308 win 846 or 842 doesn't matter there always in stock. I bought a military loading manual in the 80's and load them to military specs never had any trouble been using the same combo for 40 years now. Check out American Reloading they have pistol powders as well no shipping or hazmat fees either the price u see is the price u pay.

I like trying different powders but never found a 1lb bottle of rl26 don't want 8lbs until I try it .tried staball 6.5 Sunday in my 6 creedmoor shows good groups now I will try and get all the data from it and have fun doing it .i enjoy the experience just like hunting

EVERY powder except the Red Dot clone is out of stock.

OK, not to cause undue stress or personal harm, I just came back from a 1.5+ hr drive to a gunshop that has RL16 and RL26 on the shelves! I grabbed a couple 1#ers for my needs. They even have a single 8# of RL26 that I actually passed on since I feel I have enough for my personal needs. If anyone is near Fort Wayne, IN, Tomlinsons Gun Shop in Churubusco they have a really good supply of powder, bullets, brass etc. Great folks to do business with as well. Here is the rub, they cannot ship powder so it is at store only.

Just posting up in case anyone is near there and needed RL26. Good luck!

Eventually the the trendy powders, will be available again.

This happened not to long ago with Hodgdon powders and found alternatives that work equally as well. But now those a scarce if not gone also, so I had find other alternatives again, that are well in supply, that work fantastic, so I'l probably not go back to the trendy powders again, unless there's a deal to be had.

And when you find it, don't screw around buying a pound of this, a 2 pounds of that, get it in 8# kegs! There's enough information on powders, just on this site, that you should know what that specific powder will do for the intended application you want to use it for!

yup-- all the powder is gone, you'll never see it again --might as well give up and just quit shooting altogether ;):p

feel free to ship all your firearms and reloading supplies to me-- I'm more than willing to dispose of them for you for a nominal fee

I think i just found where all the powder is going...
Look up .....
20mm Phalanx CIWS....
75 rounds a second.....4500 a minute....

Seems like just about everything is gone. Has demand really exploded that much ??
As if things weren't bad enough !
I was at my supplier today as he called me to tell that he had received some Berry's bullets in 9 mm (obviously for target work with a semi automatic pistol ) and to hurry over and pick them up.
When I got to his shop I was not surprised to see that his shelves were low but that he did not have a single primer for sale. That included small pistol and rifle, large pistol and rifle, small rifle, large rifle magnum primers in the aforementioned items.
What I was told was that due to the Covid 19 pandemic (ALL PRIMER MANAFACTURERS WERE SHUT DOWN INDEFINITELY)
All manufactures have ceased production !

Who ever would have thunk ?
