calling wolves

Moon Pass, actually allthe way down to Avery, is a good area to hunt wolves. My sister and her husband run dogs for bear and mtn lion in that area. She hears wolves howling regularly. They haven't had their dogs attacked yet. It's inevitable though that it's going to happen.

Feel free to PM next time you're up in the area.

Hunted them pretty hard during bear season. Will be back after them when the snow flies this winter.

Khavic ,

The **** wolves are trying to eat your trail camera in wolf video 8 and 7 .
Do you think that they can smell human scent on the camera , and they are letting you know that you are in their territory ?

So, they did chew up the camera and I want to give a huge thanks to Moultre. The whole reason I uploaded the videos to the web was to show them and they replaced the camera for FREE. The guy I emailed was funny as heck and, I'm guessing, a hunter. Really glad I uploaded the video because now I can share it. Anywhooo. Not sure why the wolves ate it, but they for sure chewed it up.

I have also encountered them on the Bunco. Wish I had got a shot, but no luck.

Did you get to Idaho? I have been out hunting them here in south central Idaho.
Just saw this. Sorry about that. I have been out twice. The first trip we cut a fresh track at 8:00 am and tracked them up two mountains. At 5:30 pm they howled and gave up their position across the valley. Ranged them at 975 yards and I missed. Last year we saw tracks everyday and had them howling another day. Just never could catch up to them. We have spent a total of 12 days hunting and driven over 6,000 miles in two years. I still haven't had enough and we are heading back out there this year again.
