The Hunter DBM bottom metal is designed for shooters that are looking for a flush mounted bottom metal that will accept AICS pattern magazines.

The bottom metal is machined from a single piece of billet 6061 and features a patented cantilever spring mag release system that will not open under heavy recoil. The magazine release is also adjustable, sleek and all but impossible to actuate accidentally.

The Hunter DBM is made to fit into an M5 inlet. It is available for Remington 700 actions, and all Remington 700 clones. Comes with pillars and action screws.

What magazine would the XM length take? A short action aics mag would defeat the purpose of the xm length right?

XM mags are 3.2" aics sa mags wouldn't even latch into an xm dbm setup. Hawkins makes the dbm for the line peak medium or xm length action, don't see why they couldn't make something for the defiance xm.

MDT will soon be making magazines for XM actions. They are coming in at the perfect time as the magazine options for the XM have all but dried up. The only other option is from Inflection. They should be available soon and we will be stocking them for our XM bottom metal.

I have Defiance Deviant Tactical xm, APA xm dbm, and two Defiance mag's. I don't know who makes the mags, I can't find anything on Defiances website, they fit good in APA dbm. Im building a 7 saum .

My buddy has a BadRock(defiance) xm 6.5 prc chassis rifle, chassis by mdt, believe mags are by mdt as well. He acquired this rifle back in November from defiance/BadRock. He somehow acquired 3 mags with the rifle all xm length, fit action perfectly, believe they're 10 rounds. To my knowledge and comparing my stash of different vendors, they're also made by mdt.
