Very welcome . I got up to 55.0 grs. With no pressure signs with. RL26 . I Can't remember the H1000 load for 156. I'm at work or I'd look. I think 58.0 grains was close to max.
Just out of curiosity, with a 130, 135, 140, and 156 grain hunting version of the Berger bullets, what is the advantage of using the 144 that Berger lables as a target or match bullet? Is it that the BC is that much better than the 140 and the velocity starts that much faster than the 156?

Like many others, I was using H1000 and Retumbo with good results with 140 Bergers and 143 ELD-X respectively. I just switched over to N565 with the 156's and I am really loving that powder so far with limited load development. I can't say it's a hotrod since I only have a 20-inch barrel but with 59.0 grains (I have not hit pressure in my rifle yet so I'm still working up) I'm getting around 2850 FPS and an ES of approximately 12 FPS and roughtly 1/2 MOA.

Valid question. First of all I want a high BC bullet for less drop, a heavier bullet for more energy on target and hoping the thicker jacket will help with reducing blowup at shorter ranges. Sometimes in PA the deer jump out right in front of you. I have heard many stories of the hunting bullets blowing up on shoulders without putting the animal down. While hunting in AZ it looks like this bullet should still be around 2000fps at 700 yards to help with expansion if needed.
There is nothing wrong with the 140 VLD. I've used it for years in my 6.5-284. I did want to go with the 156 but my 8 twist just won't work in PA.
What's the BC difference between the 140 Elite Hunter and the 144 Hybrid.

I'm sure it has. Just don't see the point. The140 does everything I need it to, including shooting an elk. But if I feel like I need more, I'm not going to shoot a bigger bullet in a 6.5. I'll just grab my 300 with a 215 Hybrid and use it, and if I feel I still need bigger then I'll grab my Edge with a 300 Hybrid. That's why I have multiple rifles. But If I only had one rifle, I would feel just fine shooting 140's out of my PRC. I did a lot of looking at numbers and didn't feel the weight and BC made enough of a difference for "me" considering I have other bigger calibers. That's the beauty of our sport, everyone can do things differently and that's ok.

I like a heavier bullet. I'd go with the 144 . The 153.5 is .694. the 156 is .679.
The VLD hunting .600. 142 Accubond LR .625 for comparison.

Eld's are another option. 153 is 704. 147 697.
Running the 135 at 637 has been an interesting test and proving pretty dang worth while. It's kind of crazy how many bullet choices we have in the 6.5. It's to the point of splitting hairs and spending hours with a ballistic app nitpicking what your desires are.
