Company has a job at Glacier NP, so we are staying in the Kalispell area. Any good spots to do some fishing?

Thanks

Yeah. Flathead river, catch and release for cutthroat, etc. River is back in shape now. Good bass and pike fishing in echo lake. Lots of places. Throwing gear or fly fishing or ? When you coming?

Thanks. Got into town yesterday and tried Ashley and Smith lake with no luck. Throwing gear for now. Need to get the fly rod going again.

Try some of the flathead main stem fishing access area for trout. I've only really flyfished for trout but I think panther Martin's spinners and small spoons work well. Or a float with a wooly bugger jig or nymphs under it. Close to town if that helps. Just find the quality holding water, riffles with some seams and not flowing too fast. Anyway, enjoy! I've been on a bass kick lately.

Thanks, give that a shot. Nothing wrong with chasing bass, they are hot in Hell's Canyon right now. Hoping to get into some pike if the opportunity presents itself.
