Seek Vs Luxe tipi

I hear nothing but great things about Seek Outside, their products and customer service! However they are costly

A buddy of mine (who loves his SEEK tents) suggested I look at Luxe hiking before I purchase.

Luxe is certainly lower cost for a similar product made in China. They are made of Fire Retardant Polyester which sounds strange to me but at 40% cost I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with the Luxe outdoors tipi tents?

If you own or have seen a Luxe tent please post up thoughts on the quality and experience with them.

I used Luxe ultralight teepee with 1.5 inner on a 5 day backcountry elk hunt.
Extremely easy to set up the teepee and with a little practice the inner is easy to connect up.
It being a single wall design I did notice some condensation building up when it dropped below freezing overnight. Otherwise a great lightweight set-up.

I Spent the money and bought a Seek Outside 8man tipi.

The SEEK Outdoors company has very quality Colorado made products and great customer service! I will buy from them again!

Picked up the Seek with all the goodies (nest, carbon pole, large titanium stove)....weighs a little over 8lbs, easy to setup...MONEY WELL SPENT!!!

We are throwing in the towel on our Seek teepee and stove system. The single wall just allows too much condensation during our hunts and we aren't willing to wake up every 30 min to stoke the stove all night (hence the condensation). That, and we have burnt about a dozen tiny holes in it from the stove embers (which I can't explain, since we always use the screen). I know that any tent will sweat, but the pros don't outweigh the cons. It's frustrating, because we were so excited to get on board with this system. We also could never find a clever way to fit 3 of us, packs, rifles and stove, without all of us rubbing shoulders on the tent walls (and getting soaked).
I'm being overly picky, I know, because it appears that there is no ultralight solution out there that won't leave us frustrated.

The 6-person teepee. I get it, if we didn't put any gear inside, we could fit more easily, but we are all 6'+ tall, with a bunch of backpacking gear, so three ppl is tight.

I hear you. I got the 8man, I'm hoping 3 guys Around 5'10 will be ok for space.
I can also see the condensation issue and small stove(i got SXL) burning out Quick

Good question on the wood. Probably, if you are using a true hardwood. It will also put out more BTU's (Burn hotter).
Careful, I nearly ruined my TiGoat stove by getting it too hot. The bottom sags a bit now, but still functional and safe.

A lot to learn with the floorless setups. Gotta get them up off the ground a bit for ventilation first of all.
Also have to keep those little stoves cranking they work much better

not sure the weight of packing hardwood is worth the gain. My buddies in Minnesota said they will take some kind of fire log that burns a long time. You might think of some alternative that would be worth packing or just collect wood and stoke it as the night goes.
