Currently having a xp100r built by Bayside Customs in WY. It will have a muzzle brake so looking at rifle scopes to really stretch its legs. What does everyone think about a Leupold VX5HD 2-10 with CDS?

Uses for the XP?
Contour of barrel?
Game? If so, what is the largest and what style of hunting will you be doing with it?
paper and steel???
Short range, mid-range, or LR?

Primarily hunting it is a Bartlein 2b barrel in 7mm-08 with a 1-9 twist. The biggest game would probably be Mule deer and the farthest would probably be 600yards after much practice

10X is plenty sufficient for 600 yard killing.
Barrel length?
Going to use Holland's Radial Baffle brake?
7-08 is capable at 600 yards...Bullet weight and style you plan to use?

Harrel is a good brake.
The Holland is a better brake (IMO), but more costly
If, your 7-08 has a MV of 2600 fps, at my atmospheric conditions, your impact velocity is going to be around 1759 fps. The AB's are designed to have a 1800 fps or faster impact velocity.
Not saying it won't kill at 1759 fps/600 yards, but just giving you a heads up.

What bullet would you recommend then? Also in comparison is the Harrel and Ford Pinto while the Holland is a Ford Mustang? Or is it less of a performance gap than that?

With medium cartridges you're probably not gonna tell that much of a difference between the two, but the Holland is better.

Check out the Kauger Arms black widow thread. The chambering is different, but I am using 130 grain bullets. The brake is a Holland brake
