Bartlein carbon fiber wrapped

Love my bartlein barrels, with that being said most my hunting rifles weigh 13+ pounds, most are heavier. So I'm starting to build lighter hunting rifles for my daughters and son who hunt with me. I hunt A LOT here in Hawaii year-round. They are not a fan of heavy rifles lol. So where l can save a little weight I now try to. I'm just glad like others have said that we have other CF options now. And really glad that bartlein is one of them. I hope the issues with the company being used have been resolved but regardless as stated earlier l have some on the way and cant wait to try them.

The thread on the other site listed above said there is allot more steel on the cylinder and muzzle for the gunsmith to remove. The weight of the Proof and Bartlein will be very close when the barrel is chambered and crowned/threaded. We'll have to see when some get chambered.
I'd really like to see a CF wrapped #3 or 3B barrel.
I think George said the weight was said to be within 1 to 1-1/2 oz of other carbon barrel after machined. The Bartlein has more length of steel front & back.

I guess it's Depending on how much weight is removed from the cylinder end. If the barrel is kept as long as possible only removing an inch of the muzzle as required and cleaning just enough off the other end to thread it's probably close to what you stated.

JJ65,
Welcome to the forum! Glad to have you with us.
I own several Bartleins and love them. Curious about the new CF. Watching with interest
I can tell you with all of the test pieces we've done and shot across the country from various sources that the accuracy results habe been very good and on par with our steel barrels. We would not put out any kind of barrel if it was going to risk our reputation. I personally have a 6.5 PRC getting Cerakoted as we speak and I will post the results hopefully in a few weeks when it's all done. All said and done the rifle should weigh around 10 pounds with optic. The barrel is a 22" M24 in polished white (resin) carbon fiber.

They are available, serveral rifles built on them. Give em a call. Straight Jacket armory builds their pack lite series on it. They have had a few qc issues tho.

Ya my bad I did a little more internet searching and found a price but they are out of stock at Mack Brothers. I couldn't get the Straight Jacket Armory web site to open.
