So Cabela's had these on sale in 6.5x284 for $1317 and I couldn't pass it up. I'm planning on putting on a Leupold vx5 or vx6 probably. Keep it light for long hunts. Hoping that it shoots good as I've heard mixed reviews. Hoping to be able to make it a true 800 yard lightweight hunting rifle. Are my expectations realistic with this rifle? Gotta get dies and Lapua brass. Good on powder and bullets. Thinking 143 eldx and h1000.

My buddy bought a Ridgeline 300 PRC last year and it's shooting ridiculously good.
He's been getting 2" groups at 600 yards with factory ammo, and he shot his bull with it at 700 yards

Well, about 20 mins ago they had it still listed on https://www.cabelas.com/product/CHRISTENSEN-ARMS-M-RIDGELINE-BOLT-ACTION-RIFLE/2518307.uts?slotId=0 but seems whatever they had sold already.

Christensen has some customers with negative reviews but they've mostly taken care of customers. At that price, you did very well and odds are yours will shoot well. If not sub-moa, they'll fix it.

Im using h1000 with mine and getting 1/4 moa with under 5 sd

They are very nice guns. Mine is 300wsm if you put a 50mm scope on it you will likely need a cheek rest added to have proper eye to scope alignment. Just added one on mine.

I believe they're out of stock right now but keep an eye out because they were out of stock a week ago and then they came back in stock so o snagged one.
