Well, just received this via e-mail:

"
Nonresident spring turkey and black bear hunting suspended
Following the extension of Montana Gov. Steve Bullock's directive that out of state travelers must quarantine for 14 days, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks director Martha Williams has suspended nonresident hunting seasons for spring turkey and black bear until at least April 24."

Looks like Ill be a little lonelier in the woods this spring!

I've been to your great state a few times to hunt, pack and recreate. While I understand having a lonelier experience I feel terrible for those guys planning for years to share in the bounty. I am a few years out from coming again but wonder who another year means they may never make it due to health or economic situation from this epidemic.

My bet is it won't be long for everyone's tags to go up to offset lost revenue's. Careful what we ask for...

I agree, it is a possibility we've thought about, but what can we do? Ill just enjoy the current situation as it is and worry about the rest later.

At least we have seasons for locals still, some states (Washington for instance) have shut down all sporting seasons.

It's terrible! Since Washington locked down the public lands and fishing I have been waiting for Bullock to do the same in MT. He is going to run for senate now so politically it may not make sense. But as a good liberal socialist I am sure he is torn. I will stop now.

I am a Montana resident.. our governor refused us to buy health insuracne across state lines he is a democrat *** hole. Yes we need to be safe-- but that is possible . we need to have a grizzley season .. too many of them here. and the democrats under the clinton brought in the Wolves another real anti hunter *** hole.. our Cougar population is of of control. tooo many..

What about people that just moved here? I've been in Montana for over a month now but would still have to buy non residents tags.

I'm well aware of the terms to become a resident. I've completed everything except the 180 day's, even bought land and building a house so safe to say we live here. I asked because it's non resident due to the 14 day quarantine. I'm already here so I'm not on a quarantine.
