Like everyone else, in lockdown. Although I can shoot 25 yards in corner of my property, the land had grown up such I did not have clear pathways until this afternoon. I now have at least 150 yards and might be able to stretch to 200 if wife doesn't mind me shooting from Sunroom! HAHA! I could use the nice wood cafe table as bench? Maybe once then all **** breaks out! SO now I can at least try to see what some of the new loads for new build will maybe look like a bit farther than 25 yards! Starting to rain or I would be outside now! I feel like I actually accomplished something in lockdown!

Friend of mine was a sniper in 'nam. Set up his reloading room so he could swing out a window over 180° and shoot at multiple targets past 100 yards. Very tall hill as backstop. He would also lay out motionless in the sun and attract turkey vultures. Quickly grab one of a variety of firearms (not just shotgun) and shoot them out of the sky!!! Just to see if he could. Misses (too this day) "the hunt".

I did this as well....over the last 3 days. Got a clear 200 yard shooting lane now right out the back door.

LOL! Good thing he 'missed'. Turkey (and black) vultures are Federally protected.

Deputy819: About 25+ years ago the company I was with had shut down a plant in Frankfort and I was called in to evaluate it for environmental requirements for closure. I spent quite a bit of time in Frankfort and loved the place. I also spent time in Danville which was another great area. After work I would drive out doing deer drives with a drive thru meal, scenery was gorgeous!

SO how many ticks did you pull off? I had to shower asap to make sure I got them all!!

I've only been here for @ 14 years. What was the name of the plant that got shut down?
Frankfort, Ky is a fairly decent (and pretty), but smaller city nestled in between 2 larger cities....Louisville (where I'm originally from) and Lexington. Lots of big deer around here, too! My grandparents used to live in Danville, actually. They had a cattle farm there with a pond that contained enough BIG channel catfish to keep a young boy busy for hours! ;)
I didn't have a single tick on me, surprisingly enough, after all that. Just cuts, puncture wounds and aching muscles.

I used to go visit my great grandmother and some of her children in the Forks of Elkhorn...Hockensmith's...almost all of them have passed away now....haven't been there in 25 yrs, but think of that place often...it was a true step back in time, even for a kid from rural Mississippi Delta....

Hey, alright! I drive through that area every day while on patrol! The 'Hockensmith' name is still VERY prevalent around this town.
