El 12x50 Bino tripod adapter?

The only thing I didn't like about the cradle is switching between people. My hunting buddy has beady eyes, he always closes the binos up a bit to look through. It's harder to do with the universal adapter vs. a stud.

I ordered a summit ss-p. When it gets here I'll finish the adapter. I don't let beady eyed folks use my binos ;)

Here she is. Took a 1/2 bolt and nut and machined them down. Then drilled a 1/4-20 hole for the quick disconnect plate. Solid and works great

Great idea on the kydex!

2 Questions: 1. Do you slide in from the front or 'snap' down in from the top? As long as they don't slide around it looks pretty bombproof! 2. Can you still fit them into a bino harness while in the kydex?

Personally I'm running the Outdoorsmans stud in my 12s (and previously in my EL 10s). I enjoy their whole system (micro pan, qd, plates for binos/spotter/gun rest).

Last- I would consider a better tripod... protect the investment you've made in those binos!!

Slides in from the eyepiece side. Fit is really good and solid.
The first was made of kydex and this one was abs sheet. Great to work with
Fits into the harness just fine. Stud is flush with bottom of abs mount.
I really like that tripod. Time will tell though. Not packing my big one up those mountains!

Super easy. Are you needing one?
I just got my 12 x 50 EL on Thursday saw your post though it was cool. I was gonna try heading out tomorrow and hit some country and try em out. Shoot me a pm maybe we can work something out. Thanks
