Powder for 300 Win Mag

I am trying to find a temp insensitive powder for my new 300 win mag. I want to try the 225 ELD and the 215 Berger. 26" barrel.

I have tried to find H1000, Retumbo, RL26, N570, N565, and IMR 8133. No luck on any of these. Any other powders worth trying to find?

If you can find it, ramshot magnum is a good choice.

H1000 is what you want to get your hands on! There's a fella out of Hamilton MT that has some on hand.

Any contact information? I have been trying to find H1000 for a while now as it shoots good in my 6.5-284 as well.

H4831SC along with H4350 would be good temp stable powders to try.

I do have 3 pounds of IMR 7977, but have heard that the enduron powders are quite a bit more temp sensitive than the Hodgdon extreme powders and I have also heard that they run pretty dirty.

I was able to track down 2lbs of N565, but that won't get me too far into practicing and load development on a new rifle.

Like they are saying H- 4831 What twist barrel if not at least a 10 you may need to look at a different bullet

IMR 7828ssc is another one to look at

I use to load my 300 Win with IMR7828 and always got good results. I since tried RL-26 and got outstanding results with accuracy and velocity with the 180 gr class bullets(3225 ft/sec 175 Barnes LRX 24" barrel). I know it is hard to find, but when you do get enough. It is worth it. Never tried it with the 215-225, but no reason it shouldn't do good.
