Removing lettering on savage action

I wonder if it would come off being polished in a vibratory cleaner using walnut etc.? You may end up with a very shiny bolt body then! đź‘Ť

Nothing wrong with it being a Savage. Do we really need to re-hash all of that, again?

Concur with other posters, it is most likely etched through the black finish. To remove it you'll probably have to re-finish the bolt body. Or replace it.

OR for a short term solution, take a Sharpie to it. That is what I did to a scope rail with the mfg's name etched into the sides of it. They didn't give me the rail and I'm not sponsored by them so they do not get free advertising.

Savage Shooter makes this one...you can ship them your bolt and they will do it for $55.00...I'm in the process of ordering 4....

Thanks for the ideas of fluting the bolt. Not trying to put any more into this gun than necessary as it's just for practicing. I have my other customs to look pretty! Haha
I just checked the website (of the first posted fluting pics). Only $65 + shipping which is about the price of a few boxes of ammo. Not bad at all.
