Yes, that is another possibility. I have a M70 Featherweight in 30-06AI, I could just Re-chamber, but the recoil is noticeable as is in this lightweight setup.

The recoil might go down with the RPM.

I am all for more options. Seems like already cases that with a neck down duplicate the basic design to get this kind of performance given its a LA config 6.5-270WSM or a 26-33N. Both fit in that order between, more than 6.5PRC / less than 26N. They even have the rebatted rim and 35° shoulder already. There are a number of belted cases that fit there as well but not the modern design config.such as the 6.5WM I think was already mentioned.

Pretty sure they have the 264wm wrong, it's 82gr capacity, same as 7mag.

I was kind of wondering as I think the 82.5 should have been the 264 WM and 80.5 for the 6.5 RPM

If a good brass manufacturer like adg or peterson picked up the wby 6.5 rpm, I'd try one out. It shouldn't be that hard for peterson as they already make great 284 win cases.

Same with Lapua for making 284 Win brass, should have been a no brainer as they make 6.5-284 brass ?

Agreed, sometimes things don't make sense. Kinda like why nobody from adg or peterson has made a quality wsm case.

Peterson made them then didn't release them. I've emailed them once a month since Shot shot 2018 about it

I was at shot 2018 and saw wsm brass I was in their butt about it too, then told me its release was shelved, I was pretty disappointed. How many guys in 1k br shoot 300wsm? Probably 70% of em.

I'm still hoping and it's for an F class rig I already have a barrel for.10 to 9.6 twist 31". This is the last year I wait though. I have 2 barrels like this and a 30 mag of some flavor is going to get built this year

I'd look into the 300 Sherman short, it equals wsm performance and then a little more. Ackley improved slightly shortened shoulder saum, with longer neck, its impressive plus there is adg brass.
