Who loves their 7mm STW?

I have 4 or 5 bags unopened. I have an stw but I can,t use it. Borden with a bartlien. 3.19 neck chamber. Winchester in their wisdom used the 7 mag neck. .311. Thank God I bought a 500 box of Remington 8 mag cases before the crunch. loaded it is .316. Rifle shoots like crazy with that. Not so good with the Winchester brass.

No I have more rem 8 mag brass than I will ever use. I maybe talked myself out of a sale but I want all of you to be aware. A saami stw reamer is made to use 8 mag brass necked down.

I went to the practical but I have a lot of blue bag Winchester brass if you are interested
I appreciate

Thanks for the info about the neck. I wasn't aware of that issue with Winchester brass. My stw has a .319 neck & .219 freebore. I've never ran anything but nosler brass in it cause of the stock pile I have.

Still using my full custom STW. Shooting 180 gr Berger's in a 27" 8 twist, 3b Bartlein on a Stiller tac 300, sitting in Manners EH-1. It always does the job.
I just had to ask this cause I'm really liking mine. Just wanted to see how many folks are still shooting the old STW.
I have three STW two 7's and one 6.5.. the sevens were built by George Vias ( the original vias muzzle brake maker) right after Simpson came out with the original article. 28 inch Lilja SS barrel No. 4 taper and it has close to 450 rounds thru it. Still shoots sub 1/2 inch groups with 150 gr. Nosler Part. ahead of 80 gr. of IMR7828 and taken a lot of tough critters. I am going to try some 162 gr. Horn ELDX bullets and see what they do. Please nobody suggest Berger bullets to me cause I do not trust them and yes I have shot them.
