SD, The 3-18x56 comes in at 30.5 oz, the 3-18x50 at 30oz. I did not have a second thought about the weight with the 56 on my custom .300 Win o the 50 on my Rem. 700 SPS .308. Yes, a tad heavier than some scopes but not enough to make me care about it.

Here are the sub-tensions to the Z-plus (MOA ) Reticle.

Does Meopta offer any other reticles in MOA that have hashmarks for windage? The center aiming dot in the Z Plus is a little too big for my tastes. Thanks

Sounds like a heck of a scope! How do you like that reticle? Is the center aiming dot too large?

- 25 MOA per revolution of the elevation turret
- I have the 1-6x, 2.5-15x, 3-18x and 4.5-27x and clarity, contrast and brightness on all variations are excellent. Better than anything at a comparable price and a lot of reviews out there comparing them to much more expensive scopes.
- 6.5 reticle calibration based on 120 grn Federal American Eagle, 2,900 fps, 24" bbl. So probably a little on the fast side as most people are shooting heavier 140 grn bullets around 2,700 fps.

Also, the cartridge-specific reticles (6.5, .308 and .223) might be tougher to find as the production on those was postponed in most scopes due to lack of interest in 2019.

Strelok Pro can dial in your cartridge specific Meopta scope. All of the Optika6 riflescopes were accounted for the last time I checked. I have been using Strelok for years and they are quick to respond if you ever have any questions. It does take some time but they have all the data you will need for your iPhone or Android device. I go into handload section to enter my information.

I gotta say, for those who have NOT used a "Christmas tree" type reticle and still like to dial, you are still living in the past. The advantages of Xmas tree reticles over dialing are many. To me dialing is for zeroing a scope, period.

My hunting scope is a Bushnell LRTS 4.5 - 18 x 44 with illuminated G3 abbreviated Xmas tree reticle. Great for long range hunting here in Nevada. It sits on my 6.5 PRC Browning X-Bolt Pro.

E., Isn't it nice to be able both accurately if you so choose? Being able to use a program like Strelok Pro and get the drops and have a scope that is repeatable is a wonderful thing. I do prefer drops to dialing and I keep a dope card with me as well.
