I not sure why I reply to wise *** post but here goes. Fallow Deer are the only deer that have adam's apple's. You will notice in Trout's previous post the game biologist felt her neck,he was felling for a adam's apple. I thought the deer my have been a fallow deer because they have a wide range of color patterns from dark to all most pure white. The deer was taken in a part of texas that has many game ranches that have fallow and sometimes the deer escape. Fallow deer are quite capable of jumping a 7 foot game fence or possibly a water gap was out. Anything else I need to explain to you let me know Jr.

Did you say the biologist ruled out piebald? That was my first thought as well. In either case, what ever it is, you have a nice lookin deer there. Congrats on a nice one. Let us know when you find out.

I like to see "anomolys" in nature. Kind of why we go out there to experience things. My nephew has been hunting a fairly remote area of Michigan. He has gotten a full on albino buck on camera the last two years. This year he's a ten point and made it through the hard part of deer season. He says he's devoting all of his time on this buck next season. I really hope he brings it home.

That would be a cool trophy ! Anything less than a full body mount would be a waste.

Lol ! That's the same dance several buck use to pull on me back when I was an archery only kinda guy. I wonder if that dance was taught to any of their offspring since I picked up the ol flame thrower again

Had an albino doe on my property for a couple years. She was much smaller than the typical does in the area. Never saw her with other deer. She was always by herself. Easy pickings for our coyotes I guess.

I think i"d have let that one walk. The 20#s of boned meat simply isn't worth killing something that could pass that rarity on.

Thank you for your input. It dressed at 80 lbs. Pretty normal for a doe in the Texas Hill Country. Btw I've had pictures of her for 4 years and she looks nothing different now then she did then. First time ever seen besides trail camera. So before judging you should consider maybe everyone isn't a trigger happy psycho. Btw hope you had a great Christmas and Happy New Year

Exotic cross would be my guess. Would not be uncommon in that part of Texas. I normally hunt in the Pecos river area and I have seen a full white that I thought was an albino deer, but it was a fallow with very small horns. Coat was full on white.
