Deer season here opened Saturday. I went to hunt and my stand was no longer there. guess it sprouted wings. I had to quickly build a new one so I can hunt my favorite beanfield. There have been questions as to how to build such a thing. Was thinking of that so I took some pictures during construction. Pictures are worth a thousand words. These things are really easy to build, and as soild as a concrete bench if you use only screws and sheet it with plywood. Easily moved with a SxS. stand1.jpg Stand2.jpg Stand3.jpg Stand4.jpg Stand5.jpg

did someone steal your stand?!?

And they did it between the Sunday a week ago and opening day. It's on the lease next door somewhere. Fine folks over there. The floor was rotten anyway so they didn't get much, but I was going to get one more year out of it. Not complaining, just taking the opportunity to share how it is done. Not many places you can hunt off your belly. Too much cover. Some had asked in a thread this summer.

Looks good, gotta love thy neighbor ; ( should work well dont forget a carpet scrap for your floor. PS we use wood sealer on our floors thompson, minwax, varathane, any brand both sides they last a long time.I would wait til after the season that stuff smells pretty strong.Happy hunting.

Don't need carpet on this one. They won't get close enough to matter. Closest shot from this stand will be 300min. Carpet rots the floors. Just be still. When we had kids hunting with us we carpeted the floors AND sides inside LOL

So you have the deer stand relocation program in your area too!? It's like socialism for hunters. Take from those that have because you want it and don't want to work for it.
Exactly. Such is life. They most likely have a lot of work to do on it after dragging it off.

I had a deer feeder end up missing like that. Funny how it had enough corn still in it after they tipped it over to empty it that it left a trail right to where they parked everyday. Lol I was more worried about the fact we had baiting restrictions and that was way more than 5 gallons.

In North Carolina, it is unlawful for a person to interfere intentionally with the lawful taking of wildlife resources or to drive, harass, or intentionally disturb any wildlife resources for the purpose of disrupting the lawful taking of wildlife resources on public or private property.
Violation of this subsection is a misdemeanor punishable for a first conviction by a fine not to exceed $1,000.00, by imprisonment not to exceed 30 days, or by both and punishable for a second or subsequent conviction by a fine left to the discretion of the court. (North Carolina General Statute 295)

Had to exercise my rights on a tree huger once. A women who keep removing my tree stands,

Add trespassing to that if on private land. I got to go hunting for the first time yesterday and had to run a guy off, same fella I've ran off before. Had my tree lounge stollen off that place, man I loved that thing.
If you can prove the price is high enough, wonder if a felony charge could be added? It is the county judge's property.

We hold and press charges on every one we catch tresspassing. The word has finally gotten out and hunting sure has improved.
