My dad found this buck back in 86' in SE Idaho. Thought I would share. I scored him at 217 gross. Not sure how accurate I am so could be 207 for all I know. Trying to talk my dad into getting it officially scored.

Thought you guys would get a kick out of a buck from the 'good ole days'

That's an awesome buck...
Did you already go on your hunt trip....
I am planning on going soon...maybe this week....stay away til end of season.....

Wow that's a huge typical frame, beautiful buck
Definitely one you won't see. I was messaged on Facebook today when I posted this and was told if this scores what I scored him at this is the new Idaho State record typical apparently and #2 in the world. Will have to look it up. I'm guessing I'm off at least 5 but who knows.

If this is current, they are right.

Too bad everyone in the world is hunting up here now. People need to fix their fish and games locally. Nice buck. Here is one from a friends father over that way.

That's a heck of a buck! Know what area? Seems like a lot of these caliber of bucks came out of the same area.

And there is definitely a lot of issues that need to be headed differently. More people are hunting and there's just not the caliber of bucks anymore. An average hunter might see a big mature buck every 5 years or so. Used to be every season back in the day.
