Hi guys
i have already decided on caliber which is 7mm mag. i'm undecided on rifle. i am thinking about the Browning® X-Bolt Max Long Range Hunter Bolt Action Rifle OR SAKO a7 roughtech range. Any advise would be appreciated. i handload bullets so i'm familar with developing the best load for different guns
thanks

Well, they're both in the heavy side for what I want to carry hunting. But it's you carrying it, not I.

The Sako A7 Roughtech Pro looked like a better option to me. Or the Browning X-Bolt Pro / Pro LR.

Well I bought the Browning Max long range and I am very happy with its performance. Got a load developed that shoots 4.75" @ 520 yards
Getting 3200 fps . Shooting 15" groups @1000 yards. Hoping to get better groups at this range if the wind ever stops. The Browning shoots better than my sendero or at least I can with it anyway .

Biggest thing is knowing your rifle. If you plan on shooting animals at 1000 you definitely want to know that your bullet is going to drift at least 4 inches per mile an hour of wind. There's a lot that can happen just know what it is. Also shooting east vs west is about a 10 inch difference.

I would stay away from browning personally. My buddy has one and it WILL NOT shoot better than 1.75" group.
Hard to make improvements with them if they no good from factory..3 local gunsmiths will work with other manufacturers..
2 wouldn't touch..the third said he would be middle man and ship back to have re-barreled and then is a crap shoot

i have owned several x-bolts, and my buddies own several more. All are 1/2-3/4 moa guns with premium factory ammo....I havent seen an xbolt that didnt shoot well.
