I voted for the 6.5 CM as I have never shoot a 6MM CM.I do have one being built now and have no idea when I will get it.Actually my 6.5X55 outshoots and gets higher velocities than my 6.5CM so I don`t think it is the only accurate 6.5 made.To tell the truth the only bullet I have shot out of either rifle is the 143ELDx.It performed so well I had no reason to try any other bullet.Huntz

I did a lot of research before buying my 6 Creed RPR. Personally, I think the case size of the Creed is a bit better to push the 6mm bullets where I'd want them, and as a computer guy who is constantly spec'ing environments for customers, I like that I'll have enough boiler room as the bullets get longer and heavier for their caliber as time goes on. I think as you get over 140 grains or so of bullet weight, the 6.5 Creed starts to wish it had more space. Personally, this is why I think the 6.5 PRC is what the 6.5 Creed should have been out of the gate........but who am I to say, the 6.5 Creed has done phenomenally in the market.

For me the 6mm Creed has been an outstanding round shooting production class benchrest off a bipod and shoddy rear bag.

As I get older I have noticed how much I enjoy shooting highly accurate, low recoil Calibers . And recently I had surgery on my right shoulder , of course i'm right handed but my shooting buddy lost the use of his right arm years ago and he said he would teach me how to shoot left handed , so now I'm even able to shoot left handed accurately with this 6mm Creed.

Just bought some Nosler RDF 105gr. HPBT bullets to load for my 6mm Creed.
Nosler Load Data recommends 43gr. of H1000 powder for the " Most Accurate " load. with 2,800fps.
And 44.5gr. of Magpro powder for 2,884fps.
Both of these loads we're tested with a Barrel length of 24".
I will be using a Rifle with a Heavy Contour 26" Barrel and a Seekins Precision Muzzle Break. We will Chrono. it to see what kind of actual Muzzle Velocity we can get.

I can not vote since i do not own either one & i more than likely never will. This is just my opinion but to me the creedmoor was a solution looking for a problem. I own several .243 Win & several 6.5 Swede's & the creed does nothing that these two old timers cant. That being said run whatever you want if it gets you the results you are looking for.

I am a strong believer in the .243 and .270 Calibers regardless of what new Caliber's might come out and I will always feel that they are the best at what they were made for ( mainly hunting ) I will always have them in my gun cabinet.
Having said that when I was first introduced to the 6mm Creed. as a
' Bench Rest Target ' Rifle I had my reservation's but having experienced it for myself, I am definitely sold on it, for the purpose it was made for.

25 creedmoor pushing a 131 blackjack ace with its 350g7 bc @ 3000 fps pretty much destroys both the 6 & 6.5 creedmoor. I have one and it's a fantastic round with alpha brass, CCI450 primers and H4350 & RL16. My Christensen MPR in 6.5 is going to be sold soon, or rebarreled to 22 creed.

When you see a deer you may have 1 to 2 seconds to shoot. You don't have time to fiddle with your handheld

I've had plenty of time on just about every animal I've shot except my elk at 40yds with a bow- split decision after he spotted me. My favorite is watching whitetail deer from the ranch house at 986 yds they seem to eat there for hours.

To the OP I love both the 6mm and 6.5 creed, still working on a load for the 6 creed but we are getting close- about to kick the Atips and go back to the ELDm's

Did good with the Hornady Bullets in my 6mm Creed., last time out at the Range the 103gr. ELD-X using Hunter & Superformance and the 108gr. ELD-M using Superformance & H4831sc.
I'm loading some Sierra 107gr. HPBT- MK
with Hunter and some Nosler 105gr. HPBT-RDF with Magpro to try out next at the Range.
I've been loading them all at about 3,000+fps with the Nosler's showing a 0.571 B.C., . The Hunter and Magpro powders meter really good.

In regards to the trajectory, the 6mm Creedmoor will be better. As far as hunting goes any of the 6.5 mm cartridges will be hard to beat. It is kind of a sweet spot for bullet weight, velocity, and energy. It's a good compromise for recoil and killing ability. The 6mm will be a good medium game cartridge but will lack the downrange energy of the bigger calibers. I still think the big 30 caliber magnums are the most versatile cartridges to do everything.

Living in an era when the amount of Caliber choices is mind boggling , I would have to say that it seems as tho the one size fits all concept no longer applies .
In bolt action hunting alone I tend to look at the 243Win., 270 Win., 7mm-08 Rem. and the 7mm Rem. Mag. before even getting into the 30 Calibers.

Get some guys together and take out a 6 Creed, a 25 Creed, and a 6.5 Creed out to the range and rock steel from 1/2 mile to 3/4 mile.

The #'s on paper will start to show themselves downrange. : )

We have an embarrassment of riches in bullet selection and cartridge choice. Still, who doesn't like less drop, more KE downrange, and less Wind Deflection? That all translates to higher confidence and hit %'s when the conditions aren't the best and the shot counts.

This is just my opinion but to me the creedmoor was a solution looking for a problem. I own several .243 Win & several 6.5 Swede's & the creed does nothing that these two old timers cant.
Except...they took the stated capabilities of those previous cartridges and:

A) Stacked them into a highly efficient match grade case, with a set of universally excepted SAAMI specs;

B) Paired them with appropriate twist barrels for heavy bullets, so that success could be replicated across a multitude of commercially available platforms;

C) Then offered multitudes of match grade longrange ammunition options to the average shooter that doesn't reload.
