Looking for Colorado Springs local shooters

Frontier is 1-2 years. Pueblo is a little far for me, I'm in Monument.

Looking at CRC for a long term solution until frontier or pikes peak opens up closer to home. Will miss the orientation at CRC this Sat and have to wait a month. CRC does look like a fun place ro start entering a few local/for fun comps.

Have a place to shoot now in the meantime that sounds like it will be great.

Maybe this spring we can work on getting a shoot together on some BLM with some area locals, set up some steel, bring the smoker/grills in the truck and make a day of it, get to know some other local shooters. I'd be happy to try and organize something as the snow melts.

I run a 600 yard precision match on the 3rd Sunday in Pueblo even though I live east of the Springs.

It takes me 2:15 to get to CRC. I drive to Limon and then backtrack. Same time if I took I-25 up and took a right at 225.

Ya know, that'd be great, if the DOW built a shooting center/complex, on the East Slope, like the facility that was just built on the Western Slope...just sayin'?!

Cheyenne Mt Shooting complex limits 300 Win Mag and 338 magnums to range #3, which is 100 and 300 yards

But that only applies to magnums - not all "30 caliber"

Range #1, goes out to 1,100 yards, is available on weekends (reserved for police and military Monday thru Friday) and many a 308 and 30-06 are fired on range #1

I live in the Springs. I used to do all of my long range shooting up on Pikes Peak. I'd take a gong up with me (yearly car pass) and hike it out as far as a wanted to shoot. If you have enough energy to hike out a gong, once you get above the treeline you can shoot as far as you want.

Now I'm spoiled during the week (I work in Alamosa), and I can shoot up to a mile and drive up to the backstop. The SLV isn't short on open spaces.

Random, but...anybody here have a Magnetospeed V3.....I'm looking to borrow the thick rubber spacer so I can chrono a load today. I bought one off the hide and it came with only 2 spacers.

If I show up to that I'm going to end up wanting a Vudu 22:/

I think i found a solution to get it close enough, if it's not registering, I may take you up on that tomorrow. Really hoping to shoot today and load up the next round tomorrow to shoot again Sunday.

Oh no, I do want to build one but hoping to build something in the 6.5 for a more long range steel oriented gun that I can antelope hunt with too. Hoping to take shooting a little more seriously as a hobby and try a local match or so for fun and to improve overall for hunting.

I think I ran into a buddy of yours that shoots the 22 ELR stuff down there. Was showing me his 6.5 SST, pretty awesome cartridge.

Fellas, not related to C-Springs ranges...

I'm getting away from bergers this year, and had 5 left for a late season hunt. Had to re-zero recently for another issue and am really trying to not buy an entire new box.

Does anybody by chance have an extra 5 or so Berger 215 hybrids laying around that I could BUY off them? Just need to check zero with them and I've got 5 left for the hunt.
