Looking for Colorado Springs local shooters

Not intending for that title to sound like a singles add!!

Hoping to find a good shooting buddy near colorado springs. There seems to be a lack of good ranges here (Cheyenne Mtn only let's you shoot a 30 cal out to 50/100/300 yards. I'm on the wait list (year wait) for 2 local gun clubs.

Shoot me a PM. I'd be willing to drive up to the grasslands to stretch my new rifle out, but mainly just looking for someone smart to shoot with and help me verify some drops out to 1k for now.

They dont allow 30 cal past 300 yards.

I was out there this morning. Pretty disappointing and entirely too crowded (even on a tuesday morning) to get anything productive done in a few hours.

Just drive west up 24 to South Park. Plenty of BLM land up there to shoot as far as you want. Used to live up there. If you're willing to drive the Chaffee county range just north of Salida was always really nice. Steel out to 1000. Least there used to be. Haven't been there in 5 years.

I'm out of Castle Rock. I'm a member at CRC (which would be a bit of a drive for you), but they have steel out to 600, paper to 1000. Always looking for more shooting buddies, let me know.

I'm in the Springs and share your frustration. I head out to federal land whenever possible and make a day of it or camp while out there.

I'm have a call in to inquire about the wait list. Most places in the springs have a year+ wait

Right now the wait list for Pueblo West is 3-4 years.

Not sure of the wait list for Frontier. The Falcon Range is mostly worthless and the Hanover Range goes out to 1,000.
