What one do you have or what one have you used? What chronograph would you buy, and if you have one would you buy the other one instead of the one you have?

I have both as well as an optical chronograph. Unfortunately the labradar was the last one I bought, it should have been the first.

It's cost is definitely higher especially when you factor in the pretty much required accessories; battery packs, tripods, case. It's also got a slight learning curve but once you're over that it's about as simple as it could be. I find myself now chronographing pretty much every shot I fire now a days.

I own two Chrony chronographs. I just plain got tired adjusting the light diffusers and making sure I was shooting right over the light triggers. It was so much hassle I finally decided last week to buy a Labradar. It has not yet arrived. Why not the Magnetospeed? Because I've watched people using them at the range, and they were having as much setup hassle as I used to have with the Shooting Chrony. Bite the bullet and get the Labradar.

I have both, and they produce results that are very close. For load development, IMO, the Lab Radar is more efficient. POI and/or groups size is almost always effected when the MS bayonet is attached to the barrel.
I can chronograph every shot with no point of impact shift using this from wiser precision

Labradar. Easy to set up, switching between rifles is a non-issue, stores 100 strings, gives you ES/SD/average speeds, a $12 battery pack will last for 20 hours, gives 5 separate velocity readings at different distances out to 100 (even though I have never seen the need for this).

How bad does a brake effect the magnetospeed? I didn't find anything in half of the directions that I browsed while setting it up for first time so I just took my brake off.

I read a few reviews on YouTube and it appears that the Labradar has some significant advantages over the Magnetospeed the number one being nothing hanging off the end of the barrel affecting POI.

Therefore I'd choose the Labradar if I didn't already have a Magnetospeed but I'm committed to my Magnetospeed and am already used to it so I'm probably not going to switch anytime soon.

One negative I noticed in the reviews of the Labradar was that it could record a shot of a shooter that was close to you at the range and that could be a bit frustrating if you didn't notice it happening.

Interesting, I've never seen a remote mount work, every one I've tried still had some POI shift if it was going to do it. I've only had one rifle that really shifted, my straight contour 308 also the only non braked rifle I have.
It has a quick release and attaches to my atlas rail and doesn't touch the barrel so I do not see how you can get any point of impact shift also you can Chrono every round and it doesn't miss shots like lab radar

I shoot about 48 weeks a year. On average, 4 hours a week. I have never once picked up someone else's shot in about 2 years.
