I have been doing some research and many posts from the past, like 2010 to as recent as 2016 seem to indicate that some of these rifles have issues. While I appreciate a sub-moa guarantee, i don't really want to buy a rifle, find that it is not a shooter and send it back for 6 months so the factory guys can fix the issues? Has CA resolved the issues it has had in the past? And as a bonus, if someone in the know can explain what the issues were and how they were resolved that would be icing on the cake. I watched videos from Jeff Brozovich over at another long range website and he really likes the ELR model and had good things to say about the accuracy. Maybe he was lucky and got a good one?
Stephen I went threw this with CA on a nice 6.5 Cr. After waiting 9 months on 3 returns I gave up. They told me the 1st time it just needed to be cleaned? Then they put on a new barrel and I would go threw the break process, testing loads. Then we would scope the barrels. One was bored crooked with rifling running into chamber neck. One had no riflings for 3 " in the middle of the barrel and some were pulled. The 2nd was supposed to be hand picked?
My gun smith has has a number of these in to be rebarreled.
My advice to anyone fighting these guns is to have them scoped before you fight with trying to find loads

Thanks all for posting.. Christensen 7Mag nice shooting.. I understand that every rifle will shoot different, but I guess I am expecting some sort of quality control. This is not remington or ruger, who are turning out hundreds of rifles per hour/day (not sure), but I know it is a lot. I kinda feel if you are going to give a sub-moa or a sub 1/2 moa guarantee then you might want to shoot that rifle and make sure it does what you say it will. Or better yet, built your rifle to shoot a particular set up well. This way, you can say to your customers, we shot this factory ammo, or this hand load setup out of it and achieved the level of accuracy we stated. Maybe I am expecting too much for a 2200-2500 $ rifle.

Overall I feel a little more confident that whatever issues CA had in the 2010-16 era are mostly worked out, and I am just wondering if @shooters, you had a bad one? Also, add the case of the squeaky wheel, right, if you rifle is shooting good, you are happy, but if it is not shooting good, you go to the forums for some help and that is what turns up in searches..

Elkaholic Bob that is crazy that the screws came loose.. what factory ammo did you finally end up using, just curious.

I'm looking at the 300 PRC round, i am just not sure what model
It shoots the 200 eldXs and 180 Nosler accubonds to 1/2 moa

It seems as though most of the issues they were having have been worked out. I'm very happy with my 300 RUM Ridgeline and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another rifle from them.
I have the Ridgeline Carbon Fiber.....no issues...1/2 moa or better to 500 yrds... havent had a chance to move further.....just go it recently. What I don't like is how sloppy the bolt is if it isn't cocked! Never experienced this with any other rifle I own.

0-2 with 300 rums. Still working with the current one. On the last range session I was able to shoot 2" at 200y with one hr between shots. Previous trip was twice that size when shot in a 3 shot string.

I hear so much good, but right now I personally wouldn't have one. Gonna try one more bullet in this rifle that had a shorter nose so we can gain a little seating depth. Magazine is so short it limits to 3.58" oal.

I dont have any photos of 180 and 200 gr accubonds. But they're pretty similar to the ELDX groups.

I have shot probably 10-11 Christensen Arms rifles.
A few Mesa, a bunch of Ridgelines, a Classic, and a couple Extremes. I am 70% for very accurate rifles. 3 of them were extremely difficult to get to shoot decent. Very picky, and even then, not what I would expect from a $2k rifle. Two of them were Extremes.

My brother has had great results with his Ridgeline in 300 WM. Shoots Hornady factory ammo well and has shown pretty good results with the 210 VLD. I was in the market for a 6 Creed recently and would have purchased a Ridgeline had it been offered in that chambering. Ended up going with a Seekins Havak.

I have a Mesa in 300 WM that shoots 1/2"-3/4" groups at 100 all day, I can't shoot more than 3 shot strings (to be expected with a lightweight barrel). I also have shot several Ridgelines in various cartridges and an ELR in 300 WM, all shot 3/4" or better. IMO they are one of the best values in a factory rifle. That being said I have heard some bad things about their customer service, which I didn't know when I bought mine. Having a company that stands behind their products is important to me, so even though I've never personally shot a bad one, I'm not sure I'll get another one until they get that fixed. Just my opinion

I have load developed at least 10 Ruger Americans. Every one of them shoot better than the two CA that we have worked with. All 10 of the Rugers combined have consumed less rounds than the two CA individually.
