Dang that's a good one! I used to be die hard 243 guy. Had several built to run 115 class of bullets with 7.5 twist barrels. Easy to load easy to find brass (lapua). However I have since switch it up and went to 6 creed. Simply because I had so much lapua 6.5 creed SRP brass. From what I have shot of both powder charges are pretty close. The edge goes now to 6 creed simply most all of them built are fast twists and ready to shoot some heavies. And because of popularity brass is pretty readily available! 6 creed! And also because anything that says creedmoor ****es a lot of people off!

This is the 6mm Creed. Rifle that's been recommended to me...

Savage 110 Tactical - 26" threaded barrel - 1:7.5 twist

morning, seems like when the subject of 6mm's is
discussed people forget the 6mm Rem or 6mmAI.
myself I will take the Rem. anyday of the creedmore!!!
everything is creedmore!! whoopppeeee.
justme gbot tum
That is a very valid point also, however when looking at factory offering more budget minded those are not really offered. In custom rifles the sky is the limit but many people are looking for a descent shooting 6 that they can just buy and not wait with limited budget, this is further complicated as mentioned earlier if u don't reload. 6mm Rem is a nasty round!

morning, agreed. I reload for my custom 243AI and 6mmAI.
any deer, hogs or anything else has terminated
with these calibers. I bought these rifles
off gun broker any years ago. both have
#7 contour barrels 28" SS barrels.
rem. actions. justme gbot tum

Check gunbroker if you're wanting options. There's still a couple Bergara HMRs in 6mm out there. I snagged one for $949 with free shipping. It's only an 8 twist though if that matters to you.

Never had a .243 Winchester, didn't really care for the old cartridge design (and why is it always said a muzzle brake "will make it feel like a .243" if you never shouldered one?! That's for another time.) so I built me a 6mm Creedmoor and I'm completely satisfied with it's performance with 110SMK and have some A-Tips on the way.
