Do you name your rifles?

I don't even feel bad at all. After all, it cost me ENOUGH to get unmarried to her and she emptied my wallet many other ways.
But I got to keep ALL my guns (that later drowned a terrible death in a canoe accident. 200 miles off the coast of Alaska. In a BIG storm where I even lost my GPS. LMAO!!)

I can relate. With my first wife I bought the exact same rifle just in a different caliber so they looked a like. Then I never let her see the two at the same time.

I named my Weatherby Mark V, with a Krieger barrel, in 7 STW the "Legion of Doom". When I had a gunsmith rebarrel it he stamped that name of the side of the barrel. It's lived up to it's name.

This one my gunsmith stamped on the barrel D.O.A. meaning dead on arrival. It's my Krieger barreled, McMillan stock, 264 mag. It's also been a good one.
 
Only one has a proper name. My old Rem 700 in .270 was dubbed "Mojo" by a good friend and the previous owner. She seems to draw animals out of hiding when you need a little luck.
Other than my dad's old Marlin in .35 Rem nothing else has been around long enough to get called more than by its name. Luckily most are different makes and calibers so it's not confusing.
Marlin, Remington, Weatherby, Kimber, and MRC.
 
I have yet to name a rifle in my collection. most every one is accurate, reliable and fitted to me, so no saying anything but "WOW!" when I trip the sear on a round. I am not sure I will ever name any of my guns.. maybe when I get older I might.

Lol...my buddy named his 1911 .45 " Big Bertha" until I showed him my 500 S&W...now he calls it.. LITTLE BERTHA!

Not appropriate for youngster ears, but I've been giving my precision rifles stripper names. Cinnamon, Shaniqua, & Stormy so far. Makes the conversations in camp a bit more fun.
And FWIW, I can't recall the last time I've been in one of those establishments!
 
One of my guiding partners called his .270...old meat in the pot! I had a hard enough time naming my 3 boys let alone trying to name my guns! But a good one might be....old trusty! Or old faithful!
 
I only named a few. Black Death for my M 14 as it has a black fiberglass stock. The Long Ranger for my 6.5 Creedmoor. Thursday Thursday for my 30-30.
