Two engineers Shooting from Spain!

Looks like you bypassed Idaho. That's a shame. Hunting, shooting, you name it. LR shooting can be done on private land or on any of the shooting ranges that cater to us. Some have targets set out as far as 2000yds.

We were last year in Idaho. We ejoyed the short visit. Also I think that is a nice state to live

We have a booming wind energy business in Wy so come for a hunt and get a job! Educated talent is always welcome here and owning a gun is still honored thing!

So I will buy more guns and I will have more chances! hahahaha
I only have 4, this is not enought for an American

We appreciate your words guys, but it's not so easy. For us it would be easy to move to any other country in Europe with our experience, but to work in the USA an engineer needs a visa H1B. And this takes time and money for the companies. It is normal that they prefer to find other solutions.

Figures...we have people streaming across our southern boarder by the thousands who bring no talent or education and they for the most part are sucking the life out of our healthcare, educational, law enforcement, social welfare, and charity systems! But a couple of well educated engineers and their families can't come here and contribute to our country, especially in a field the is exploding! Seems our politicians are doing everything possible to destroy our country! The 160 wind generators just north of me are all being replaced with new much more efficient units and the wind blade company in Windsor CO can't make blades fast enough......so tell me why we have an immigration system that is so anti-American! Experienced talent is always needed.
Sorry for the political rant but my country is failing us!

Believe me you are in a better situation than Spain. We also have a massive inmigration in our Southern border, people who come from Africa. We have a metallic wall protecting our cities, but sometimes 500 people climb the wall. Some of those who climb the wall get tangled in the cutting wire (some people says that Spain is not humanitarian because of this). The rest of them throw quicklime and **** (literally) to our agents in the frontier and they run away. With our law about inmigrants they can't be kicked off at the moment. They pass to a long process living in centers for inmigrants, maybe for years. After that some of them are kicked off and some of them can live here. And this is the heaven for them, because they have a lot of state payments, one of them with 3 kids can earn much more than a typical Spanish without working.

And of course I'm not agains inmigrants, I'm against delincuents. And in Spain we let enter delincuents. For me it's ok if someone well educated comes to my country, I don't care about the origins.

After four trips on the US, we both are coming again in August. Our idea is visiting the East cost this time. Do you guys know if we can bring our rifles to your country to go shooting?

thanks a lot team

Have you been to New Mexico yet? I live near a place called El Morro...it is a must visit place for people from Spain. One of my neighbors J.T. Baca still has descendants of the small horses that his ancestors brought here in the late 1600's.

Very much enjoy your posts. Que Dios te bendiga!

It is a good place to make a campfire and enjoy with american people!!

I had no idea the Spanish government is as stupid as the American government!! That sounds so much like the situation in the US.
Yes you can bring rifles into the US, but don't bring pistols because some cities outlaw them (like Washington, DC.)
You would find the midwest and western states to be more friendly toward your rifles, and offer more places to shoot.
I am sorry you won't be traveling through Oklahoma, as we discussed last year.

I live very close to the last part of the Camino de Santiago. You will love the food and wine even more than you think. I recommend you to visit us as soon as you can, you'll have a very nice holiday. We can recommend you some places and things to do.

PS: I love Texas and South Dakota, I'm mechanical engineer and I would love to work there. But if I can't, when I will be retired, it will be there for sure.
You should be able to find plenty of work here don't wait till you're retired if possible

My friend, you don't really know what is to have limited long range shooting opportunities, believe me. In Spain there is only one place where we can shoot to 900 yards.
The rest of places are not good (100, 200, max 300 yards) and very far away.

Who cares about the humidity or cold weather when you have lots of guns? Hahahaha
My range is still a 2 Hour Drive from my house but we have targets out to 1250 yards Check it out at www.strategicedge.us
