Lightweight Stock

I am building a switch barrel setup using a Bighorn TL3 and Proof shouldered prefit barrels. I have yet to decide what the best lightweight stock or chassis is for hunting. Vertical grip and adjustable cheek piece are a must. McMillan? Manners? AG Composite? Chassis systems? All input is appreciated!

Manners EH1 or AG Alpine hunter. Iota also makes one in a light weight version now but I have no experience with them.

Ag adjustable alpine hunter. Or get a manners eh1 from Ryan Pierce with his new adj cheek hardware, only adds like 3 oz. I just picked up a krg bravo for my bighorn origin 25 creedmoor build, I really like the ergos of the stock and it only weighs 2.9# for chassis. The rifle will be 17-18# when done for prs/nrl stuff so it's NOT a hunting setup. However I did drop my lone peak ti action that has a proof sendero lite 24" barrel in, weight 7#6oz with scope rings.

Cant' go wrong with any of those but you can't match the McMillians without spending quite a bit more.

Maybe look at the Mesa arms Altitude it only weights 25oz.

Lisa is the owner, she is very helpful and was timely on e-mail communication--I have an older stock that I am working on right now and quality seems good--her quote to inlet, pillar and glass bed are very reasonable--the onine prices are for a blank, but she will also complete it if you send her your barreled action -- OP, her email is [email protected] if you want to contact her--not sure of her turnaround time right now though but she does offer some very light stocks

Pretty good shape for stocks currently. I have one MPI from back aways, but have kind of followed the story from a distance.

What to you is light weight? Manners, McMillian have some lighter products but haven't seen a chassis system that competes in weight to carbon fiber or Kevlar.

A manners mcs-eh1a with a mini chassis looks like an awesome option also. 3 + pounds though
