Any disabled hunters here?

I became a below the knee amputee two years ago and decided it wasn't going to stop me from hunting. Last year I did my first hunt since being an amputee, which was an elk hunt in Oregon. This year we're headed to our favorite spot in Idaho.

Are there any other disabled hunters here?

Depends on the definition being used. Most of us are getting up there in age a bit, if for no other reason than long range hunting & shooting tend to be expensive ways of using firearms and folks don't tend to burn a lot of optional money on already expensive hobbies till we're older and more financially stable. Getting old goes hand in hand with starting to show signs of wear. All of my non-functional parts are limited to sensory organs so I don't think it's nearly the same as for those with actually missing or non-functional body parts. Nonetheless, good challenges are there to be had and taking them on is, for many folks of our general ilk (I'm assuming here), part of the spice that makes life tasty.

I hear ya. I'm still fairly young, but my dad just turned 70 and is going through what you describe.

That's awesome! I never learned to shoot a bow, but I'm getting more and more interested. I just do rifle hunting.

I'm 72 and starting to slow down quite a bit, but I still get out there some. I do have a Maine bear hunt scheduled this fall, I'll be using my longbow. Two weeks ago, I was down in Texas and killed a couple of pigs with my longbow.
