I'm going to order 2 identical long range rifles. They will be used for beanfield deer rifles. Getting one for me and one for my Son-in Law. Have to watch costs since I am buying two. Looking at this rifle in 28 Nosler. Twist looks good for at least 180's, and features sound like a steal for the money. Since I've never seen, much less shot one, I need you guys to talk me into or out of it. Thanks in advance.

Edit: re read your post.

On topic, they have a good reputation for accuracy in their gas guns. Seems like that should transfer easily to a bolt gun platform.

My FIL (avid hunter and notoriously picky when it comes to firearms purchases) visited their shop a couple months ago and was very impressed with the ar10 they put together for him, as well as the personal interaction and customer service.

I have one in 6mm creed and really like it although it takes a 100 rounds or so to really get the bolt to smooth out. Just had it out yesterday shooting paper and it really shoots well. The feel of the rifle feels good. But you say your being mindful of cost sounds funny to me because your asking about 2000 dollar rifles so 4k for both. If I was you I would look into the Bergara HMR B-14 they only cost half as much and shoot just as good as my seekins

Take a look at the Christensen Mesa, Ridgeline and Traverse...also the Fierce.

They are very accurate rifles. The action is roughly 50% cock on open 50% cock on close. I absolutely hate the action and will never own one. I strongly recommend putting your hands on one before you purchase. The HMR is a completely different rifle as it weighs nearly 3lbs more.

In that price range I would look at the Fierce Furys.

This is the kind of intel I'm looking for. Cock on close, even half is a deal killer for me. Nice looking rifles though. Back to drawing board. Fierce Edge maybe. Everything always costs me more than I want to spend. :(

I love my CT edge. I think you'd like the Edge.

Just when I made up my mind to buy a CT Edge my daughter got married to a Deputy that is a great shot but without a LR rifle or funding. Thought I could buy two of the Seekins for the same money and still have nice rifles. Thought of giving him my RUM and just getting a new rifle, but I ain't giving it up........

Coopers are very nice. I'm in the middle of a review on a m92 for LRO.
Yes, they are. Don't know why, something about the way they feel or something, just never wanted one. Thought I had my mind made up and you guys changed it fast. Thats why I love this forum. Great guys that are very good at spending other people's money. Square one guys. Where am I going to get two half minute magnums around 7lbs that are good looking and feeling for $5k or so?
