I shot My TC Encore today with the MGM 6.5 PRC barrel . Its a 27 in. stainless 1 in. full bull with an integral muzzle brake. tried some loads. One load shocked me. I had a Magnetospeed attached. I had a 131 gr. Hammer Hunter with Federal mag match primer. 58 grs. H1000. Didn't get to try same load with CCI BR2 primer yet. But what was unreal my 4 shot velocity was 3007, 3006,3005 and 3008. Ave. 3006.5 fps. Is that possible ? That load was not near maximum . No pressure signs at all.
It was only around an inch group though. With factory Hornady match 147 ELD I had an ave. velocity of 2912 fps. High was 2924 and low was 2900. 59.0 grs. Retumbo with 143 eld x and CCI BR2 was 2912, 2933,2915 and 2922 for ave. velocity of 2920 fps. I didn't get to shoot the TC Encore 28.0 Hunter barrel in 6.5 Creed today. I did try a couple loads in the Tikka 6.5 Creed though. a 127 gr. Barnes LRX w/45.0 grs. Superformance. fps was 2912, 2910, 2918 and 2912 for 2913 ave. fps. accuracy was not good. no pressure signs.
I finally got to shoot a Savage 111 in 300 Win. Mag. that I won in a raffle along with a TC Compass in 6.5 Creed and a Savage 22 auto rifle and a S&W SD9 VE auto pistol. LOL ! Gotta play to win . Won 3 other times also. My favorite was a Butler 3 season sleeping bag. It was awesome in Wy. last year. Sells for $480.00. I won with $10 ticket like others. Ok. Bragging. The Savage 300 win mag w/24 in. barrel shot Factory Rem. 180 gr. corelokt at 3015, 3017,3009,3015 and 3000 fps for average 3015 fps. didn't get to try my loads. was 98 degrees and windy in the desert.

That e s is definitely possible. That's a good one though! I had a RL26 load with a 180 hybrid in my 7 SS that ran that low.
One time it shot 3 e s for 4 shots. I checked a different load to make sure the magspeed was working. It was!

Thats crazy ! I still cant find Rel.26. Ive found Rel 33 and 4000 . Have Rel 25, 22 and 17 going to try.

I am old and like to keep things simple for that reason I chose .260 Rem.
If SHTF I can easily make brass from the buckets of .308 I have collected over the years. I just recently the build on the rifle pictured a couple weeks ago.
On a side note I forced all 3 of my kids to get proficient shooting .308 Win..
Why - it is less forgiving shooting long range and forces an individual to learn to read range, wind, conditions, etc. Sorry for getting off topic.

I bought a TC 28 in. 6.5 Creed barrel I was waiting for them to put out. Then right after with 2017 tax refund I bought a Tikka in 6.5 Creed... Then I won TC Compass in 6.5 Creed...Then 6.5 got popular so I had an MGM TC barrel made. Now I wish I would of waited and bought a 6.5 PRC bolt rifle ! I didn't learn. Probably the bandwagon thing. I've always been a 7mm /30 cal. Guy. I did have fun with the Tikka last year though. Shot 3 whitetail does 300, 412 and 433 But when it came time for muley buck i couldnt cheat on my Rem 700 300 rum. She eouldmt of fogave me... and it was only 305 yds. but DRT.
