What is your experience with Fiochi vs Hornady 204 ammo. And 40gr vs 32gr bullets?
I currently have 3 204's and have been reloading with Winchester brass, Rem 7 1/2 primers and W748....shooting 32gr Vmax!
My original Winchester brass came from 1500 rounds factory ammo and now after over 8 reloading the brass is done. Original 2 rifles being getting new barrels now just before
Pdog season started! So I'll be almost starting from scratch and was debating on 1500 rds of factory vs new brass to start the season but have no experience with factory Hornady or Fiochi ammo! Even debating on 32Vmax vs 40 GR Vmax! And even who makes best brass! Looks like Starline might even be a possibility!
So Chime In your thoughts.

Thanks

I reload for my 700 204 and buy factory loads for my AR-15 204. I like the factory stuff(Hornady) but it doesn't shoot as well as the reloads. I have a load for the 40 grain Vmax but found it was tough to get the speed I wanted out of it. I mainly shoot 39 blitzing now.

Has anyone shot any factory Fiochi or reloaded their brass
Fiocchi 32gr vmax shot .8 moa in my bull barrel 12FV. Hornady 32 vmax shot .3 moa

The Fiocchi brass actually had some pressure signs (protruding primers). Have yet to reload any. But I'll stick to Hornady from now on.

That's what I'm looking for....actual experience
The Winchester stuff I bought 10 years ago was great...can't find any now! Think I'm off to Hornady

I dont know what 204 rifle you have but I believe most factorys are 12tw. Check it, if it is I would stick with the 32's some 12's shoot 40's some don't.

I've been loading the 204 since it came on the shelves . At first I had Remington Brass and it split and showed signs of pressure even in factory ammo. For the past eight years I've been using Hornady brass and it has been exceptional . I have loaded 26 , 32 and 40's , both the 32 grain and 40 grain have been very accurate and only the Remington model 7 did not shoot the 40 grain well. I load mostly 32 grain Hornadys these days because both sons prefer them. I hear complaints about Hornady components but in the 204 caliber I have not had one problem.

Thanks. Sounds like it will be Hornady! I have 3 204's one has been rebarreled to 12 twist one to 10 twist. The other is a factory Ruger and I just picked up a Kimber

I have a Savage that I replaced the factory barrel with a Pac Nor Ultra match, after truing the receiver face and putting a 1/4 surface ground recoil lug. It shoots 32's so so, about .600 for 5 shots, but loves the 40gr V Max's factory load, shot 2, 5 shot groups the other day, and they both were about .380! I reload the 40 V Max with 24.5gr of Reloader 10, for the same results.

ive used hornady for the last 8 years mostly in 40 grains for sage rats out here in oregon to 800 yds and they are excellent !

I have a jp rifle in 204 it will shoot both Hornady 32 and 40 but the 40 carries better and les wind effect at distance. Have tried fiochi in .223 and.204 and it is not bad but really strings groups haven't got into reloading yet

I have shot the fiocchi stuff in both my 204 and 223. I go through too many rounds and don't like reloading enough to load for my varmint guns. It has all shot sub moa in my VSSFII 204. Gun is for sale btw :). This is a 3 shot group with the fiocchi 32gr vmax at 100 yards.
