Good luck, the only person I've ever heard talk about replacing recoil pads is Chad Dixon at Longriflesinc and he guarantees your finish will get some damage in the process.

You guys kill me w/all of these...you don't know crap about stocks let me help you. First, their not factory rifles, they're customs. Second they are Brown Precision and Borden Rimrock stocks. Third, I know there might be some slight damage...this ain't my first rodeo. If you know someone that can do it, especially if it's a sideline, please let me know. Now before you come back and say well just send them back to Brown and Borden...Brown is trying to work thru a fire in their shop and Jim won't work on the older stocks unless it is one of his rifles. Thanks guys, powdr

What "brand" are these expensive stocks? The pads are epoxy glued on most and are not re-usable.

Yeah and wise guys like you are why I rarely use this site as a resource. That should make Len proud of his off spring.

You can send your stocks to the shop I mentioned and get the service you are wanting.

Nobody said anything to you that should have offended you.

Whatever triggered your sensitivity, get over it. Or don't get over it, it makes no difference to me.

Shortgrass is also someone that could do the work.

With an attitude like he has, I'd find I'm too busy to do it in a timely manner, or I'd just way over-price the job.

This is becoming more typical these days, ask for more info and get a smart answer from someone who has never done the work themselves. If they had (done the work themselves) they wouldn't be asking for a referral.

Some people call a Bell & Carlson an "expensive" stock, and some call Manners, McMillan and Brown Precision and "expensive" stock. Hand fit, shaped and finished English walnut (or other appropriate hardwood) is a really expensive stock! There,,,, found the "ignore" button.
