So turning a 6.5x47 into my dedicated deer gun for back home when I visit in SC. I am wanting to run a lighter bullet as this is a 21" barrel for running a can. Was thinking at heaviest 130 Berger hybrids but would like to run the 123 eldm for the speed. Just a guess but 350 yds would be pushing it as it's a pretty thick place where I hunt and most shots are 100 yds and in. Anyone used the 123 eldm on deer? Thanks fellows.

The 130 Berger hunting has been awesome on whitetail out of my 6.5x47. If you want more speed maybe look into what Hammer bullets offers. I'd love to try them but they don't ship to Canada. I run the 130 Berger at 2950 fps out of a 26" Broughton with H4350.

Very nice man. Kinda figured the 130s would do good also. Them little bodied deer in SC don't take a whole lot of bullet

this is what i was going to say. i live in NC. i'm planning to use 123 eld's on deer this fall but it'll be in my grendel which is a 39mm case. i only got a doe last year and she probably didnt weigh but 100 pounds.

Would you might sharing your load data?

I'm the same as 257tony, very pleased with results on mature mule deer at creedmoor velocity and distances over 400 yards

Ever see the "grey bull precision 600 yard elk" on the utube? He uses a 123 hornady. It was a deciding factor for me to set my ultra cannon down and try something new. Still love my RUM but havntbused it in a while now.
