Hey all. Picked up some 130 VLD hunting to try in my 6.5 Creedmoor. What's the hot ticket for powders? I'm well acquainted with Rl 17 and H4350. I've seen reference to 760 and 7828. What are you all using?

The ole tried and true H4350 worked great in the one that I have reloaded for with the 130 VLD, that was before RL26

I have equally good results with Berger 130gr AR Hybrids when propelled by either Varget or H4350. Accuracy node seems to be the same velocity with both powders, about 2860fps from my 24" Bartlein barrel.

Thanks guys. Has anyone noticed a trend toward "jam" or "jump" for the best accuracy? I can't reach the lands in my rifle with anything left in the case mouth. Barbara Ridge 6.5 Creed.

With the 130 and a saami .199 freebore your gonna have some jump I cant remember how much but the one I reloaded for O.AL was 2.86

I shoot the 130 Berger hunting out of my 6.5x47. I use H4350 and get 2950 fps out of a 26" barrel. Devastating bullet on whitetail. Works and shoots so good I've never tried 140's. I think you are going to like it.

L.Sherm. Yeah, the mag on the Bergara isn't overly long. 2.845" cycles and feeds. Much longer than that and I'd be afraid of concentricity problems. Not a lot of bullet in the case.

Sounds good Beeman. That's scooting right along. I guess I need to lay in some more H 4350 before it goes awol again. It shows promise. Shot #1 was the first after a scope adjustment. 2 and 3 were at 2.815", 4 and 5 were at 2.845" C.O.A.L.

H4350 and 143 ELD-X is looking good too. These were some of the first through the rifle.

Looks like you are close to having a good load. I'm always impressed with the speed I get out of my x47. It's actually the load RBros developed when they built my rifle. As I said I haven't seen the need to try any other load. It just works. Your 143 load is shooting good.
