I just finished a 45 raptor build and need to find the best powder to use. It's too expensive to buy a bunch and try them out. I just need a good starting point. Thx in advance

I have a 24" barrel on my 45 Raptor AR
I've used 250 and 275 grain bullets.
I had the best luck with the 275s
As for powders...
H110 had the widest ES by far, cold bore, warm barrel it didn't matter, and I will not use it any more.
W296 Had a great ES with cold bore shots, but once the barrel has 3 shots on it (let's say 30 seconds apart, the ES's and groups got bigger.
Alliant 300-MP is my go to powder not with my 45 Raptor
I get the fastest velocities, tightest ES, and best groups with it.
As well as the least amount of primer pressure signs.
Oh ya, you're going to want to get a HP bolt with a smaller firing pin for your 45 Raptor
JP or Fulton sells the kits.

Good Luck

Have any experience with win296? Seems to work well for the 460 s&w all weights. Using for very short range, 100yds max. Mainly for hog hunting, 40 to 60 yd shots.
