STW brass availability

It certainly was hard to find for quite a while. For the longest time new old stock of Remington or Winchester were the only option. Quality Cartridge made a few small runs of it. Nosler has been on the scene for a while now. Probably around 5 years or so. Recently Bertram and Hornady are also selling it. So thankfully it is more readily available when guys need it

I've been using Nosler since my stock of Remington (8mm) gave out, and the Nosler (8mm RM) has performed well for me thru 5 firings. I found some Bertram and will soon do some load work up for it in my 1:9 and 1:8 twists with 180s & 195s. It's good to see some options. The Bertram will be the first properly headstamped brass I've ever used in three 7STWs.

I haven't had a hard time finding Nosler brass, and while I'm not real experienced with reloading, I've been very impressed with just how few pieces I've lost considering how hard I've run it.

Same here. I've got enough new Nosler STW brass to wear out several barrels. But I've ran the same brass for several years now (granted, I don't get to shoot as often as I'd prefer), but it's lasted 5+ firings, and still going strong. And like you, I run mine on the harder side of the spectrum.

The only STW brass I really had an issue with, was Federal. It work-hardened after about 3-4 firings and then started giving me case/head separations. So I chunked it.

I turned into a hoarder with the brass shortage and bought any Nosler brand STW brass when I found it or if it was on sale at Shooters Pro Shop. I think I have over 500 pieces of new brass!!

I haven't noticed any shortages in several years. It's never a bad plan though to pickup 200-300 cases to keep on hand "just in case" for any rifle you own.
