Besides some coating she's ready!

side port brake
BC tactical/comp style 6
TriggerTech trigger
Burris Veracity 3-15...for now.

I went out and worked up from 86gr to 94.5 with H1000 and a 285gr ELD-M. Slightly flattened primer, firing pin dimple still nice and rounded with no ejector mark to be seen. Only shot four at 94.5 but averaged 3,000 fps. Got it pretty close at 100 and jumped to the 600 yard gong, 9 moa of elevation and first shot hit. I had my dad shoot and he hit 2" below me. Gong is 8" wide and about 14" tall.

I'll fine tune it at 300 yards and zero it there and she's ready to hunt!

Any closer pictures of the barrel ?
What was the turnaround time for frozen fiber ?
That's good speed from a 338 RUM...really fast ! Are you single feeding ?
Nice looking rig and it shoots too !

I'll get a better pic tonight.

Turn around was quick, he did a dozen for us but he's now no longer wrapping barrels, unfortunately.

Repeater...Wyatt's box, OAL right now I'm shooting is 3.8".

94.5 grains is a lot of H1000 for the 285 in a 338 RUM. Be careful.

Brass is looking great, it's a bit more than other guys are running I agree. But, pressure signs aren't showing up, I'm not going to push it any harder tho. I was hoping for 2900 so I have no reason to try more.

I'm just hoping pressure doesn't rear it's ugly head when you start loading fire formed brass or when your barrel speeds up. I'm sure you'll know soon enough. Nice rifle, though.

As much as I'm enjoying my 300 Rum's I'm sure you're going to have a blast with this one.

Sounds like you're a hair away from putting it all together with very little fine tuning.

Nice rig, great shooting.
