6mm Creedmoor OAL

I am struggling to find a decent load with 103 ELDX. Right now I have them loaded to 2.8" and the shoot terrible(see photo of 3 groups at 200)
I threw together a load using 70 Grain noslers that shot 1"@200, so the gun itself has potential.
Do ELDx bullets like a lot of jump?

I have found the ELD-X to be hit or miss. Out of many different rifles in various calibers/weights/cartridges I have tried them in, about 1/3 shoot them freakishly amazing. The others are merely mediocre. The ones that shot so-so, no matter what I tried, they remained only so-so. Therefore, I swapped to other bullets and got the results I was looking for.

You rifle just might not like them. It happens.

I shoot 115 bergers out of mine. I started at the longest coal that would fit in the mag. Then seated the bullet .010 deeper until the group was satisfactory. Then changed it by .001 at a time until is was good. Now my 400$ ruger shoots 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards

Perfect! That is what I loaded up tonight for my new 6CM. SAAMI chamber? Mine is cut with the .183" FB and I have them touching the lands for testing tomorrow.

I did some dimensional calculations and it appears you have a little over 0.1" of the bullet shank in the neck. Is that enough?

Not sure where you got your numbers.
I have approximately .235" of bearing surface in the neck,, and base of boat tail is just above shoulder.
I will be starting seating depth testing soon, so those measurements will increase as well.

They seem to shoot fine so far as well. 105 @ 3056fps here. Everything was under .5" except the group with the cold/clean/new bore shot, which was about .8". Bore sighted, then adjusted after 1st geoup.

I got that number by looking at the SAAMI drawing and the Berger "quick reference" chart. The Berger numbers for the 6mm, 105 gr Hybrid are:

Length = 1.256"
Nose = 0.701"
Bearing Surface = 0.342"
Boat Tail = 0.213"

I marked up the SAAMI drawing with your COAL number of 2.858" and what the bullet would take up. ( see attached picture )

Taking the bullet length of 1.255" minus the boat tail of 0.213" gives 1.043".
Subtracting the 1.043" from your COAL of 2.858" gives 1.815".
The maximum case length is 1.920".
So subtracting 1.815" from 1.920" gives 0.105".

0.105" of Bearing Surface in the Neck doesn't seem like enough.

Bullet OAL is 1.277-1.282" across 25 pieces. I have to look at my build book for BTO measurement. I don't remember it off the top of my head.
