Remington 660 6mm load help

All I'm am looking for load data help.
Working with a factory Remington 660 in 6mm Remington currently using RL19 at all powder charge ranges with a 85grn TSX I am still not getting the accuracy that I'd like to see out of this unit.

Please help with any suggestions the unit has been floated and bedded.

If it says 6mm Rem it was the faster twist the 244 was the slower twist. There are several powders you could use in my 244 Rl19 worked great with 70 Nosler Ballistic tips. Seeing as you are using Barnes tsx you may just need to seat them a little deeper.

I believe that it early 6mm Remingtons were 1/9 twist.
My sons 6mm Mohawk likes the 95 grain Nosler ballistics tip with Imr 4350.
It also loves the Sierra 60 grain hp with H-4895.

AA 2700 and N550 have worked really well with 85gr tsx and 90 Nosler BT in my sons Rem 742 6mm. Reloader 22 Has given me great accuracy and speed in my 6mm AI

I'll make some changes this weekend and update my findings for others.

If it continues to struggle, and you wish to stick with mono's try the Hammers.

Better double check that. They were built as varmint rifles and intended only to shoot the lighter bullets.

Use a cleaning rod.

Run int in about an inch and mark it.

Run it down a foot marking each revolution as you go or just put a dot every inch and count the rotations for a foot.

Remington has been notorious for slow twists crippling great cartridges and the further back you go the worse it was.

Even custom barrels occasionally fail to measure what was ordered. Until you've verified it first hand it belongs on the list of possible reasons a particular bullet doesn't work as expected

Good point. As easy as it is to measure why waste time and ammo guessing?

morning, my 243AI and 6mmAI both the shoot the
95gr. Berger VLD. I have changed to barnes bullets
for availability. the 85gr.and 100gr. TTSX shoot
very well. again depends on the twist. justme gbot tum
