a buddy has a Rem long range model 700 in 7 Rem mag and is putting a Huskemaw 5-20 Blue Diamond scope with Talley standard high rings.do you think he will be able to reach 1000 yards without putting a 20 moa rail on it? thanks Jim

yes it will but I have not shot this gun yet waiting on the scope to arrive then I can mount it but I don't have anymore info yet

my 26" 7mm rem mag requires 24.25 moa of elevation from a 100 yard zero for a 1000 yard trajectory. I do not know anything about that scope or the reticle, but i'd have to imagine that would be within its capabilities

I hope he got a good one, I got a 7mm rm 700LR on sale when they were running the rebate, and could not squeeze less than 1.5moa at 500 yards out of any ammo I tried. It's being blueprinted and a brux barrel installed now.

+1 for the 20 MOA base. He probably won't need it depending on his load and scope. But 7mm Rem Mag has the potential to be a mile rifle (targets), so why not get a 20 MOA. They aren't that much more anyways, and you'll be done.
