G7 BR2500 VS SIG KILO2400ABS

I'm upgrading my range finder. I searched comparisons on longrangehunting but I have more questions and I'm still on the fence. I like the (shoot to) portion of the G7 but I'm not as familiar with the sig. I shoot with load specific turrets but I'm thinking of going back to MOA turrets and letting the range finder adjust and give me the correction in MOA . Id like some input on which one I should pic . I'm leaning to the G7 but I like how compac the sig is and possibly the Bluetooth connect ..... advice is greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a KILO2400ABS, worked a load and rifle setup with it and completed a successful elk hunt resulting in a 714 shot and dispatch on a 310" 6x6 bull. The rangefinder was key with the ABS engine for correction at the altitudes I was hunting at. ( I trusted it as I had no means to verify at 9500) It's fast lightweight and compact with great results. I actually ranged out to 1400yards on animals. It was consistent with a Kestrol elite's solutions that I did not own but put my load into for further density altitude correction accuracy.
I do not have any experience with the G7 but unless something better comes along I'm satisfied with the KILO2400ABS. Hope this helps!

I owned both and compared them extensively in the field, the G7 outperforms the Sig hands down in all conditions. The G7 is tuned for game, the Sig for steel. Thought maybe I just had a bad unit but my buddy had the same problems. Sold the Sig.

That was my exact experience for hunting was just easier to use the G7 for me.

My 2400ab will range game at 2200 every time and steel at just past 3000.
The firing solutions it computes have been very accurate with three rifles out to 1200 yards. I love it.
That said, I've never used a G7, so I can't say if it's better.

Last year I had a elk at 1200 yards in good conditions and the Sig would not pick up the elk, it would a big fir tree 50 yards above it. Several coyotes at 700-1000 yards.

Can you mount the G7 rangefinder to a tripod?? I emailed gunwerks and ask the same question and all I got was crickets. So if a person had either the sig or the G7 would you still need a kestrel???

I had a Vectronix terrapin and Kestral AB. A buddy had a G7 BR2. That caused me to sell my setup and buy a BR2 as well. The Vertonix was a much better range finder, but the Kestral was terrible. I went through quite a few trying to get them to work. Long story short, the g7 put me on target far better than the Kestral. For hunting purposes, I want some thing that works and fast. The G7 does that. If your out playing with ELR stuff and need more accurate ranging and have time to figure dope then there are better options. But I love my G7 for hunting. I do wish it was smaller. No experience with the sig.
