Anyone tried these scopes and what be opinions good or bad. Have read and watched couple of reviews. Seems to be good scopes with couple of complaints

A friend has one. I noticed clear glass, firm clicks, uncrowded reticle and a very decent price. I know firsthand the Nikon warranty and customer service is unsurpassed.

I have been looking at the 4-16 version for my 7 mm mag for an elk hunt. My local Dicks has the 6-24 version and seems pretty clear.

62, saw the 4-16X50 at Optics Planet for a decent price. I have too many scopes, otherwise I'd be interested in one.

Nikon's BLACK X1000 is a SFP scope. It came out in 2017 and was a big hit for those wanting to reach out and liked that Nikon was giving long-range shooters a very nice scope loaded with useful features. Then in 2018 Nikon came out with the BLACK FX1000 which is a FFP scope that is built for those who want to get into long-range shooting and want an excellent scope for their money. I have been using the BLACK X1000 since it came out and it gets the job done! I hunted with it last year in 3 states and took 4 nice deer. I have also used it to harvest a number of swine in OK and TX from as far off as 500 yards. Illuminated or not, the choice is yours.

What is the deal with the turret reset? Is it just for zeroing rifle? Zero stop?

The return to zero lets you zero, then lift up the turret and turn it to zero so if you dial in your distance you can get back to your original zero. The BLACK FX1000 has an actual zero stop that is easy to set. The mounts that I am using are Nikon's BLACK Series mount, they can be had with or without 20 MOA.
Here's a better pic of what the mounts look like. They lock up solid and are easy to use. They only come in 30mm and not 1 inch.

They retail for $139. I have heard of a few places, OP, 1800 guns selling them for less. Definitely worth a 0phone call and asking whoever is taking your order. A heck of a rock solid and good looking mount for $139.
