With a much shorter pot life, comes more heat and that Is the enemy
of a good bedding job. The more heat, the more expansion and contraction.

I have used it before for repairs and it worked fine but I don't recommend using it for Bedding Compound.

You can order bedding compound from Brownells or Midway if there are no sporting goods stores close.

Other than ease of mixing the two part, can't see any advantages. I have some cattle syringes. Thought of loading some Marine-Tex in one for an epoxy project, not gun related just to see how it worked. Wondering if it will flow well.

I've been there and tried that, and it really does not work well. The right material will save you so much time and headache. The only advantage to that stuff is that it's fairly easy to dig out when you get frustrated and decide to do it right.

I like to take the 2 part putty and mix it up in a zip lock bag then cut the end and pipe it in like frosting, seems to work really well and halps me control where its going and how much I'm laying down.

I use syringes to apply epoxy in tight places. There are glue syringes available from Amazon and other suppliers that have a curved, tapered tip and no needle, the tip can be trimmed so that the outlet is large enough to flow the thicker bedding compound.
