Looking for data for new MOA custom 26" barrel 6.5 -284 Norma.
Powders i have are:
H1000, IMR 4350, RL 22
Bullets on hand:
Hornady ELD-X 140gr, Barnes LRX 127gr

I know Im reading H4831sc seems to be the gold standard but If I can use a slower burning powder that burns clean and performs well at distance hopefully I can extend the barrel life in my barrel burning long rang hunter/target rifle. Atleast thats my thought process. Ok GURU's help me out. Im in the flat lands so a great magnum powder selection is not readily availible .

RL22 works great for me with the 130 AB & BT
RL 26, H4831 (sc) and Retumbo will all serve you well
Those are the powders I use with my 6.5-284. I only shoot 140/143 gr and 130 gr bullets

I just finished load development for my first 6.5x284 recently using Lapua brass, 215s, 140vld-h, and rl26 & h1000. Both produced accurate loads. Best accuracy for me was right at the lands.

Rl26 sweet spot was around 54.7gr @ 3080fps.

H1000 was around 55.1gr @ 2970fps.

Yep. Got the whole load workup and all. Runs great with that load. Just trying to find other options.
56gr 4831SC
140gr VLDs
