Athlon Optics real world review

I just learned last week they are located at Olathe Ks. about 25 miles north of me. I actually just spoke to a rep. plan on making a trip up there in the near future, so really interested in your review & all the comments!

I've been playing with one of these: Athlon Optics Talos BTR 4-14x44 - APLR2 FFP IR MIL
Seemed like a good buy and have been very happy so far. I've got it on a Howa in 6.5 Grendel.

How far have you pushed your Grendel? I've got an Athlon Optics Helos 6-24 mounted on an AR-15 in 6.5 Grendel, so far 1,020 yards has been my max available range. 3/5 shots hit a silhouette. I still need to work on my load development.

Just started working on a load. I'd like to get a 95gr v-max to work. It's a prairie dog rifle. Unfortunately I only have a 200yd range available.

Glad to hear more good reviews on Athlon that are unbiased.

Man this makes me want to sell my cronus btr just because this was the first and probably last scope I'll ever buy in this price range that my wife said I can get because it also maybe the last time I can afford this kind of scope because of starting a family and such and feeling guilty for spending that much on a scope but.....I REALLY JUST WANTED TO HAVE SOMETHING OF HIGH QUALITY ONCE!!!
Its defiantly not going to be used like it should or for intended purposes other than occasional hunting, shooting at various ranges with a rifle I don't have built yet but.....I guess as they say buy once, cry once and I can probably get my money back out of it if needed.
So far I'm loving Athlons usable options to their quality glass. I really want a few more of their products but its no rush, just wanting to update glass on other rifles.

I went and took a tour at the Anthlon location in Olathe. The sales manager Jeff Robertson was really helpful, & did not rush me at all. He took me out side with every scope I was interested in & let me, view objects in the distance. All the scopes were mounted on dummy stocks so life like in viewing . It was great to have first hand answers to all my questions! I was really impressed with the number of scopes in their product line. The glass on all the scopes were really impressive & clearer than I expected, even at higher magnifications. I also looked at their range finders, & spotting scopes & was equally impressed with them as well. They want you to set up a time for a tour, but it would be well worth the time to view their full product line, if you live close enough.
