Could Someone Run Quickload Data for me?

Working up a new load using H4831SC and trying to basically get the MV the same with that as my pet load of RL22. Getting away from RL22 because my ES is way to big, and honestly, I don't know if it is the powder that is causing it but that is where I'm experimenting. Right now I'm buying into the hype that RL22 is not consistent across a wide range of temperatures.

My devices keep telling me that Nosler's web page is compromised and may be trying to steal my data. I know they have this load on there but I'm afraid to visit their page.

You need the fired case capacity of your cases for Quickload input.
On top of this you also need a chronograph and then adjust the burn rate in Quickload until the velocity matches the chronograph.

And when the above is done you will have computer guesstimates of you chamber pressure and velocity.

I just went to the Nosler web page and there is nothing compromised or attacking my computer.

Try deleting your browser cookies and make sure the Nosler web site isn't just asking for normal information.

Since you're changing powders, I think you would be better off finding the load your rifle likes and go from there.

I agree with bigedp51 that you need those extra pieces of information for quickload to be closer.

Use at our own risk.

As was mentioned, the below data could be off 10% or more.

Don't treat it as gospel.

Cartridge : .280 Ack Imp
Bullet : .284, 168, Nosler Accubond LR 58623
Useable Case Capaci: 63.532 grain H2O = 4.125 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.330 inch = 84.58 mm
Barrel Length : 24.0 inch = 609.6 mm
Powder : Hodgdon H4831 SC

quickload is not a reloading book. people should not be posting generic quickload data. some day someone will get seriously hurt.

Agreed - QL is not a reloading manual of test data and you can definitely get yourself in trouble treating it as one.

We have dissenting opinions about the posting portion - and that's ok.

people should help others with info but in a pm and use all needed data to make the most informative and safe prediction possible. all our guns and loading supplies are different just want people to be safe

Please stop posting QL estimates. Qualified info or not, it's unethical.
Troutslayer2, buy the software or not.

I haven't run into any problem using Nosler site. I also have there manual. maybe this will help
280AI
start load 54gr/H-4831sc with 168gr ABLR @ 2655fps
max load is 58gr/H-4831sc @ 2806fps

Beat me to it. That is the same data listed under there web page load data.

This is just me but I try to always have the most current reloading manual (i.e., Nosler, Berger, Hornady, etc.) for the bullet I am going to use (if available).

BTW, seller is good to go and you can deal with confidence.

I somewhat agree but by itself Quickload is not the same as making a workup load and really learning about your rifle. The output of Quickload is "NOT" copyrighted just like the output of Microsoft Word is not copyrighted. Meaning you are not breaking any law using Quickload to help someone else. The problem is Quickload is nothing more than computer generated guesstimates. And not a substitute for looking in several reloading manuals and making a workup load.

Quickload defaults to the lowest case capacity, example for the .223 it defaults to 28.0 grains of H2O capacity. And the majority of cases have a capacity over 30.2 and this will be 6,000 psi difference in chamber pressure.

Bottom line, you need the actual case capacity of a case fired in your rifle and a chronograph to tweak Quickload to get approximate data.

pdf from the nosler website attached for the OP.

I totally agree but you need a lot more than case capacity and chrony results. I can make quickload match the velocity and case capacity and still be 6-8 thousand psi difference in two loads with the same powder and charge.
