i poated this in the coyote hunting section as well, I was looking for any load info using light pills for the 22 creed. I understand that it was made to shoot heavy 22 cal bullets. But want to start load development around a 62 gr ttsx. Next will be the 70 gr partition. Hoping to get the 62 in the 4 k range. Thank you

Both the 6mm and 6.5 Creedmoor have case capacities of 52.5 grains of water. One listing I see for the 22 Creedmoor says 52 gr of capacity.

Looking at this list http://kwk.us/cases.html the 223 WSSM has similar capacity with 53 gr of water.

Go to Nosler's load data site and start with the 223 WSSM's lower end loads and work up.

I would start with the above start loads and work up.

Maybe I'll measure my 22-250AI cases, I only measure CC's, so I'll do grains of water for you.

As close as I can come up with to the top of the neck and rounded up/down to the nearest whole number, my Lapua SR brass holds 49gr of water, my Win LR brass holds 52gr and my Rem LR brass holds 50.5gr of water. I honestly thought it would vary more than this.
I also have Sako, Norma and S&B here.

FWIW:

I shoot several 22-250s:
62TTSX over 33 grs Varget.......wolf gun
70 gr Berger over 31.5 Varget......this load has won bench matches.

Do you know the dimensions of your chamber?

Have you made dummy cartridges to check the freebore and throat?

Without knowing the chamber dimensions and where your bullet selections touch the lands, it would be difficult to suggest reloading data. With an OAL of the dummy cartridges you can refine the reloading information.

My cartridge OAL with the 62 TTSX is 2.600" but I have a 0.020" jump built into the chamber. This gets me about 3800 with Re-16, VVN-560 and Norma MRP.

Don't send to Whidden....their seating dies are very poorly made. The adjustment knob wiggles back and forth so much that the seating depth change considerably. Extremely difficult to make an adjustment and get the correction you dialed.

Maybe you just have a problem with your die, have you contacted them? I've had two sets of them and have no problems whatsoever.

Nope, these dies have produced ammo that shot rediculous groups at extended range. My current setup has consistently shot groups at 800 yards that were under 2". If you need anything else from me feel free to PM.
